prep work

Getting ready for a trip can be so hectic.

I thought I was on the ball this time around. I started making lists last week of things to buy, things to make, things not to forget...

We (perhaps crazily) decided to try and cook at least a few dinners out of our hotel room that only has a mini fridge and microwave. My family cooks dinners when we go to Cedar City in similar circumstances and so we knew we could do it. It has taken a lot of prep work but hopefully the yummy home-cooked meals will be worth it. There is just only so many days of eating out that I can stand in a row, especially when you have 3 cranky kids with you (I'm anticipating them being cranky after long days exploring Disneyland!).

In addition to packing for 5 people, cooking and freezing dinners, cleaning, and running errands we had friends over for dinner last night (delicious Indian food and molten lava chocolate cakes...yum) and tonight Ryan is on a camp-out with the deacons.

So excited to get on the road.

Lets just hope whatever it is I forgot to pack isn't vitally important.

haha so true. No matter how well you prepare and pack with lists.. there is always SOMETHING forgotten. Have so much fun!!
