This week was pretty great. Ryan hasn't had to work so we have had lots of down time together.
On Tuesday night Ross and Karen babysat all of the Salmon grandkids while we all went out to dinner and a movie. We saw the new Mission Impossible which was better than I expected. It was fun to go on a date with my husband. Mady decided to sleep over even though the other kids were "bugging her so she couldn't sleep" :) We had some cranky kids the next day but it was worth it.
For Christmas Ryan's parents bought us Pass of All Passes. On Wednesday we decided to get our passes printed and go miniature golfing. We took Haley and Brynlee with us. Apparently the rest of Provo decided to go too because it was pretty busy but the kids loved it. Even Mia loved running around and exploring the place.
Tuesday night my parents were back from Canada so we went over and opened our presents that they got for us. Mady got a tea set which she absolutely loves. And I got a new knife set. Our knifes were TERRIBLE and now they are amazing. I love love it.
Friday night we had some high school friends over for dinner. We ate raclette (can't get enough!), tri-tip, and ice cream sundaes. It was so fun to get together and visit. Good friends are the best.
Then Saturday we went out to brunch with more friends to Communal, took the kids to the BYU Basketball game, and ate Chinese food at Ross and Karen's. I forgot to take my camera for ANY of those events. When we got to the BYU game Mady started screaming and crying because she was scared to see Cosmo. I'm guessing her fears were just exacerbated by her exhaustion but it was a little out of control. She eventually calmed down. And Mia enjoyed the game as long as I was distracting her with candy.
The New Year's Eve celebrations were fun. We ate delicious Chinese food, watched the little kids dance the night away, and then made a huge mess with bubble wrap, Silly String, noise makers, confetti, and other crazy stuff. It was pretty fun. Austin was really nervous and just sat on my lap the whole time, while Mady and Mia were running around and laughing and being crazy. Mia would pivot around in circles and get so dizzy that she would tip over. It was hilarious!
And today we have a house full of grumpy kids. BUT on the plus side our church is now at 9 which is amazing. I LOVED it.
