This week was my turn at Joyschool. I had kind of forgotten how crazy those little boys are. It wasn't so great that my lower-back has been killing like crazy lately. Apparently jumping right into cycling training wasn't such a good idea (I guess that is what it is from!). Take it easy, self. This week we learned about Imagination, the letter N, and the number 9. It was fun but hard to find activities that would keep their interest for more than 30 seconds.
Mia has been sick. And Mady is extra tired for some reason. I went to the music store yesterday and she just collapsed on the floor crying "I can't walk! My legs are too tired!" It was more then a little embarrassing but I was just laughing at her. So dramatic! It wouldn't have been so bad if she hadn't done pretty much the same thing at Costco the day before. I guess she isn't sleeping well??
The other day I went to get Mia from her nap and found her standing up in her crib with her blanket over her head like this:Now she walks around the house like that. She thinks it is hilarious. She also loves to stand on anything: stools, the arm of the couch, chairs. She is a little daredevil and thinks giving mom a heart-attack is funny!
Lets not forget Austin. He has a little temper problem sometimes so when he gets angry and throws something I give him a time out. While he is sitting on the window sill (our time out spot) he has started yelling "BUTT!" as loud and as angry as he can because it is the only "bad word" (or word that I tell him isn't nice to talk about or say) he knows. It makes me laugh...and a little nervous for him to learn any more "bad words." Especially since Mia will yell "butt" now, just like her brother :)
This week has also been busy and crazy because Ryan has been training for some certification for work, which means he has been gone 7:30 until after 7 every day. I am more than a little excited for our little excursion to Las Vegas this weekend.
I started teaching a neighbor-boy piano lessons. I'm nervous, but excited.
I'm thinking about doing my first quilting project for the quilting store. Again, nervous...but excited.

Oh Jess you make me laugh, and you always do a post it it's something I need to hear for the day so thanks.. I thought my kids were the only dramatic girls saying "potty words." Hope you guys have fun on your trip! Thanks again for this post :-)
haha, little mia with her blanket on her head is soo funny. Its amazing how quickly they pick up on making people laugh. :) I can just picture Austin on his sill screaming "butt"! My boys will do that too sometimes when they're in trouble, but occasionally they'll switch it up with "poo" or "penis" and "I HATE (insert family member name here)" It was a sad day when they first yelled that last one.
oh, and have fun in Vegas! Sounds like you could use some time away. :) Miss you guys...
You are amazing Jess! I just got a little caught up on your life and I can't believe all the things you do...I mean look at all the homemade things you created for Christmas!! You just go go go all the time, and it inspires me!
