The day after Thanksgiving we were putting up our Christmas tree and realized that it is not as tall as we thought. It is 6 feet tall, but against our windows and vaulted ceiling it looks like it is 2 feet tall. So we thought about buying a new one and even shopped for one, only to realize the kind we like are around $400-700. Boo. We will make do with our tiny little tree until we can take advantage of after Christmas sales!
Mady woke up this morning and said, "Do you know what I had a bad dream about last night? I dreamed we were going somewhere and you said I could wear flip-flops and we were outside and I was so cold that I got sick and had to lie down on the couch." Sounds like a nightmare to me!
Instead of singing "Follow the Prophet" Austin likes to sing "Follow the Monson."
We attempted taking Mia into nursery (our ward, if you have a primary calling they go when they are 15 months old). It was a no-go. Apparently she got hit in the face in the first few minutes and screamed. I stood out in the hall as long as I could until I finally gave in and got her.
Austin has started coming in to Primary for singing time. I can't believe he is almost a Sunbeam. He sits so reverent on the front row...although last week once he realized I was behind the piano he ran over to sit by me.
I keep stressing about all the Christmas present projects I have going on and then I realize it isn't even December yet. I'm a nut case.
